Dove Hill was my first project with renovation in it, and the one that taught me the most. The townhouse sits in Buckhead, and I designed it with my mom, working from her furniture and art. Some pieces were reupholstered, some let go, and a handful of new additions tied the rooms together. The result mixes old and new, modern and traditional, with a feminine Southern ease that suits her. Style Me Pretty Living featured the finished house, and the before and afters below show how far each room traveled.

Entryway
The entry set the tone for the whole house. A pink chinoiserie Magnolia mural by Anewall covers the stair hall, and a slim console with heirloom lamps keeps the floor clear. The before photos show what we started with: builder beige, a bare stair and nothing to greet you.

Living Room
The living room is where the mix of old and new is clearest. My mom's seating was reupholstered, her art rehung in a tighter arrangement, and a new rug and side tables brought the scale up to date. It reads collected rather than matched, which is the point.

Dining Room
The dining room went blue-green in Clare's Headspace, a color that holds its depth in daylight and warms up under candlelight. The traditional table and chairs stayed; the paint, lighting and art did the work. The full dining room reveal has every detail.

Powder Room
A small room with one big move: a sink set into an antique dresser, with a blue garden stool and a palm for company. The before was a pedestal sink and a builder mirror.

Bedroom One
Green velvet headboard, embroidered bedding and striped curtains, with bookshelves organized into baskets so the room reads calm. The before photos show the same four walls with none of the layering.

Bedroom Two
The guest room stayed light and neutral, with blue and white bedding and a rattan mirror doing the decorating. I refreshed the bedding with Serena and Lily later on; the guest room refresh covers that update.

Primary Bedroom
The primary bedroom is built around a French-style upholstered bed, an iron bench at its foot and a pair of campaign nightstands. The palette is quiet on purpose so the bed and the art carry the room.

Primary Bathroom
The bathroom got a new vanity, faucets and lighting, and the tub was swapped for a walk-in shower with a grey herringbone mosaic floor and white subway tile. Off the bath, a blue and white vanity room pairs a cane console desk with a blue velvet chair and a Moroccan mirror. The shower reveal walks through the tile decisions.
