How Custom Rug Design Works
Every custom rug begins in our Atlanta design studio. Tell us which of our original rug designs you'd like to customize, or describe the piece you have in mind, and our designers will prepare a rendering of your rug in your size, shape, and colorway. Once you approve the rendering, you can request a strike-off sample for review, and your rug enters production with our artisan workshop partners in India, where it is tufted, loomed, or hand-knotted to order, then sheared, washed, and finished by hand before a final quality inspection.
Lead Times & Delivery
Because every rug is made to order, most flatweave, hand-tufted, and handloomed rugs arrive in 6–8 weeks, and hand-knotted pieces in 8–10 weeks, plus transit time. We ship worldwide. Custom Rugs in Atlanta & Beyond
Kevin Francis Design is based in Atlanta, Georgia, where founder Kevin Francis O'Gara works with homeowners and fellow interior designers on projects across the city. Atlanta and trade clients are welcome to request thread samples for in-person color matching, but if you're anywhere else in the world, the same custom process works just as smoothly by email.
