34” Octavia Black Marble and Brass Buffet Lamp

Octavia is the tallest of the buffet lamps at thirty-four inches, and the proportion is the whole point — a narrow black marble column, veined in gray and faintly translucent where the light catches it, set on a small square foot and capped with a wide, shallow shade in white linen. The shade flares to thirteen inches across but stands only eight tall, which is what gives the lamp its low, spreading pool of light rather than a column of it. Two brass sockets sit underneath with their own pull chains, so you can run one bulb for a dinner table and both for a working sideboard.
