Kelmscott Blue & Gold Hand-Marbled Empire Lamp Shade

Kelmscott is a combed feather marble in slate blue, ochre and cream, the pattern traditional binders used on endpapers long before anyone thought to put it on a lamp. The gold running through it warms the blue, so it sits easily in a room with brass and old wood rather than reading as a cool pattern.

The paper is marbled by hand in India on 100% recycled cotton stock, one sheet at a time, so the comb falls differently on every shade and no two are alike. The frame is brass plated steel with a spider fitting, sized for standard US lamps.
