Chiswick Blue & White Hand-Marbled Empire Lamp Shade

Chiswick is a cornflower and slate blue marble, pulled into loose swirls over a cream ground and finished with a deeper blue trim at the top and bottom edge. From across a room it reads almost as a texture rather than a pattern, which makes it the easiest of the marbled shades to place. I use it on a plain white ceramic or a brass base where nothing has to compete with it.

The paper is marbled by hand in India on 100% recycled cotton stock, one sheet at a time, so the pattern falls differently on every shade and no two are alike. The frame is brass plated steel with a spider fitting, sized for standard US lamps.
