29” Aurelia Teal Sculptural Ceramic Table Lamp

The Aurelia Table Lamp is the most sculptural thing in the collection and the hardest to photograph, which is usually a good sign. The ceramic body is thrown in soft vertical lobes that ripple and fold like fabric, and the deep teal glaze pools in the recesses and thins over the ridges, so the color shifts from near-black in the folds to a clear watery green where the light catches. Brass ball feet and a brass collar keep it from reading purely modern. At twenty-nine inches it is a lamp you place where it will be seen from across the room, not tucked against a wall, and it takes a plain linen shade better than a busy one for exactly that reason.
