KFD x My Favorite Pins: Impressive Entryways
March 29, 2023 - Written by Kevin O'Gara
As I did before on my old blog, I love taking some of my favorite interiors from Pinterest and choosing one of my original rug designs to complement the space. It's so much fun to see my rugs in such beautiful spaces, but also exciting to see how a different rug changes the feel of the room. While these rooms are certainly breathtaking to begin with, a new area rug is a great way to give a room a whole new look by just changing one element.
The sky blue colorway of the Lucca circular maze rug, with its concentric design, pulls from the soft, cool tones of the artwork featured on the tabletop easel in this modern entryway. The warmth from the oversized brass-framed mirror makes a perfect pairing!
In this transitional entry hall, a round-top front door opens to the cheerful sun motifs in the Mamluk hand-knotted rug design. The light blue background helps pull the outside in, and the balance of cool and warm in the rug ties in the beautiful wooden dresser.
This stunning entry by Studio McGee features such rich materiality from the wooden paneling to the stone floors. The Mamluk modern Turkish rug provides a unique counterpoint to the contemporary interior, with vintage motifs that still feel fresh.
This classic modern entryway makes the perfect home for the graphic, geometric Theseus runner in our Wheat tan colorway. It has such a bold, modern feel while still remaining timeless in its handcrafted construction.
This stunning entry is a signature Miles Redd "New Regency style" design, with blue lacquered walls and stunning antiques and fine art. The Dede rug would make a playful addition to this space, with its floral pattern and high quality hand-knotted construction.
The Boxwood green Amiens rug offers a meditative focal point for the modern-rustic mountain retreat. The dark green creates a timeless accent color for this high-contrast space, while the circular maze pattern softens the architecture of the room.
