Blue & White Kitchen Makeover: Samsung Bespoke Review

Navy blue kitchen makeover with Samsung Bespoke glass refrigerator review, Behr Nocturne cabinets, Repose Gray painted tile floor, cabinets with painted border

The kitchen in Terrace Drive Project was the most daunting space to tackle, but unsurprisingly, turned out to be the most rewarding! All it took was some great inspiration, which came in the form of Samsung's swanky new Bespoke refrigerator collection. These ultra-customizable fridges look like pieces of decor with sleek colored glass and metal fronts that can be mixed and matched to your choosing. With this small kitchen, I selected a single-column model with a navy glass front that set in motion a crisp new color palette for the space. See how the new Bespoke refrigerator inspired an astonishing before-and-after below!

Elevating Aesthetics with Navy Blue Kitchen Ideas

When envisioning a kitchen transformation, the color palette sets the tone for the entire space. Navy blue, with its timeless elegance and versatility, emerged as the ideal choice for this project. The deep, rich hue exudes sophistication and complements a variety of design styles, from traditional to modern. Navy blue kitchen cabinets instantly infuse the area with a sense of calm and serenity, making it a perfect shade for both culinary creativity and intimate gatherings. The navy glass looks so fresh in the kitchen and totally upgraded the look in here. I used a similar, but slightly more pigmented Behr Blue Nocturne to paint the cabinets and a fun border on the upper doors, and gold accents to complement the cool tones.

Samsung's Bespoke Refrigerator: A Design Game-Changer

Enter Samsung's innovative Bespoke refrigerator collection - a game-changer in kitchen design. The Bespoke series offers a remarkable level of customization that allows homeowners to express their unique style. With a selection of colors, finishes, and configurations, these refrigerators seamlessly blend with the kitchen's aesthetic while offering cutting-edge technology and ample storage space. I love that the refrigerator has doors on the top and bottom, with freezer drawers for easy organizing (less digging around down there!). Like the high-tech Samsung smart refrigerator I shared last year, the storage in the top half is easy to reconfigure to suit your needs, from the shelving heights to the side bins. I love that it comes in single towers that you can combine to create the perfect width. You can also specify different colors on the top and bottom! Check out all the pretty finishes the front panels can come in:

I played off the dark blue with brushed brass hardware. The window got an easy upgrade with a bamboo shade, a trio of leafy houseplants, and a new faucet to upgrade the sink.

Painting the floor with Behr Dolphin Fin (a great look-a-like for Sherwin Williams' popular Repose Gray) in their "Porch & Patio Paint" was game-changing! It gave new life to these old tiled floors and brightened the entire space. It feels so much cleaner in here now that it's painted!

How can I incorporate blue into my kitchen without overwhelming the space?

To avoid overwhelming your kitchen, use blue as an accent color, like in the cabinet border above. You might consider just painting your lower cabinets but not the uppers. You can also introduce blue through accessories like a roman window shade, dish and glassware on open shelving, or even a painted kitchen island. This way, you add a pop of color without it becoming too dominant – and you can always go back and add more.

How can I complement navy blue cabinets with other elements in my kitchen?

To complement navy blue cabinets, consider using lighter colors for countertops and backsplashes, with warmer gray flecks or veins in the material. Calacutta marble is a great example of a creamy marble to pair with dark blue. Additionally, adding warm metallic hardware like brass or copper can complement the cool tones well.

Are Samsung Bespoke refrigerators worth the investment?

I find Samsung Bespoke refrigerators to be worth the investment due to their unique materials, customizable design, and high-quality performance. Since you can customize the front of the refrigerator, you avoid paying for custom paneling to be installed on the front of the fridge. The mix-and-match feature of the collection isn't available anywhere else, so it presents a truly unique design opportunity.
