Small Space, Big Style: My Atlanta Living Room With Coley Home

Designing a small apartment living room in Midtown Atlanta posed the perfect opportunity to create a space that felt both curated and cohesive. With an open-concept floorplan, I leaned into a monochromatic palette and strong silhouettes to visually ground the space and add a sense of quiet luxury. To finish the look, I turned to Coley Home’s custom furniture collection, selecting the Mia Shin Toaster Chair and a velvet Bella Ottoman in Herb Mohair for a pop of color and texture. After selecting my contemporary sofa and Clam Chair for the seating area, I turned to the custom options at Coley Home to complete the look for a color-drenched designer look.

the MIA SHIN TOASTER + BELLA OTTOMAN

I've always loved the adorable Mia Shin Toaster chair, and with a small living area I knew it would be a perfect addition to this room. It provides a small-scale but solid seat while keeping the area feeling open and inviting. For the centerpiece, I selected Coley's Herb Mohair velvet to cover the Bella Ottoman. I love how the greens pull perfectly from my Indiennes Stripe upholstered wall panels.

Soon to come to the living room is a green leopard print rug (a new design in development for my collection) which will really take this room to the semi-monochromatic look I'm aiming for!
Designing a small-space living room that feels both functional and elevated can be a challenge, but with the help of Coley Home’s custom furniture, I was able to create a room that feels truly tailored to my lifestyle and aesthetic. From the perfectly scaled Mia Shin Toaster Chair to the plush Bella Ottoman in Herb Mohair, each piece adds thoughtful dimension and comfort to this corner of my Midtown Atlanta apartment. Whether you're decorating a cozy city space or simply looking for ways to layer in rich textures and timeless silhouettes, custom upholstery from Coley Home offers an easy and elegant solution. I couldn't be happier with how this space came together — a true testament to the power of personalization in small living room design.
