Dede Hand-Knotted Wool Area Rug

$1,010.00

The Dede hand-knotted wool area rug is named after the ancient Turkish epic Dede Korkut, which confirms the long tradition of rug-making in Anatolia by the Oghuz Turks. Dede is a contemporary spin on a traditional floral rug. Cheerful ivory flowers dot this soft cream rug, with a geometric border featuring hues of grey and sienna red. Finished with a tassel fringe trim.

Each rug is made-to-order in 8-10 weeks, hand-knotted in India with 100% New Zealand wool. Contact us to customize the color, size, material, or knot count for this design.

The Iconium Collection
Inspired by the ancient traditions of Turkish rugmaking, KFD founder Kevin Francis O'Gara translated traditional motifs and symbology he found in his grandfather's traditional wool rugs with original patterns and contemporary palettes. These original hand-knotted rugs are constructed the same way, resulting in heirloom-quality pieces to pass down through generations.
